Crockpot Chili

It’s hard to beat a nice warm bowl of chili on a cold day! This is a hearty recipe that will fill your belly and warm you up from the inside out. Although I normally use ground beef in this recipe, you can easily skip that to make a vegetarian version.

  •  1 lb lean ground beef (optional)
  • 2 tsp montreal steak seasoning (skip this ingredient if not adding beef)
  • 1 can corn, drained
  • 1 can kidney beans, drained
  • 1 can pinto beans, drained
  • 1 can white beans, drained
  • 1 large can crushed tomato
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 red onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, diced
  • 1 cup mini peppers, sliced (or 1 green bell pepper, diced)
  • 1 can sliced black olives
  • 2 tbsp. chili powder
  • 3 tbsp. ground cumin
  • 2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tbsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp. dried basil
  • 1 tbsp. ground mustard
  1. If adding beef, cook the beef in a sauté pan with montreal steak seasoning over medium high heat until meat is browned.
  2. Add all ingredients to the crockpot and cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours

Garnish with your favorite toppings. Some of our favorites include sour cream, cilantro, chives, diced red onion, shredded cheddar cheese and avocado, just to name a few. Happy crock potting!
